The Harvest Grounds

You can hear the soft chiming of church bells in the far off distance, ringing so softly you barely notice them. Even as the sound grows louder, you're not quite sure where it's coming from. As you become dimly aware of your immediate surroundings, the glow of wispy light pulses in a rhythm not unlike a heart beat. To the side, you finally notice a tall woman, imposing in stature and solemn in demeanour. With a slow exhale, smoke escapes her lips, curling lazily into the twilight air.
