Blood loses a bit of novelty when it is the standard, it’s the tried and true offering to any higher being, drawn from cultish or faith-ridden sources, representative of one’s mortal life. Eden is grateful that their spheres are unscathed, so as not to drip the humor and appear as a traveling crime scene or to find coagulated globs when they break from their studies.

Ink, they’re envious of. If they came across red ink they’d turn a blind eye to it. An Eden that could’ve been should they have been pickier in their youth.

Quite comfortable with what she’s got, she would not share the desirous gaze that many would toward “cool” material. Coolness is subjective and she feels she’s cool as hell. Black opal is multicolored, dark in the night, and while soft compared to diamond, still not something sane mortals would like coming for their head. Not a scratch on her spheres, not a chip in her claws.

Pearl is even softer, and not worth her while, but if she rewrote things from the start, something from the sea would be a safe material. Not driftwood, certainly not sea glass (it’s been ruined for her). Anemone would be sick but how would it have come to be? Beats her.
