Yarrow tea, sweet with a subtle bitter twinge, Melitodes enjoys it as cozy as sunbeams. Not too hot, not too cold, not quite lukewarm, a bit warmer, warmer, then it’s just right. Floral teas are his favorites, but he has branched out to other teas. Other types of drinks don’t cut it for him, so he tends to keep to what he knows he enjoys. Iced teas are okay, but not that appealing.

Who wouldn’t enjoy a good latte? Hot insulated well to warm the hands, to steam glasses with a blow into the break in the foam, simple and beautiful. Milky leaves swept into the tawny liquid is art, the craft is admirable. The taste? Variable, but when acquired at the right places, always good.

Eden generally prefers hot to cold, but when the weather calls for it, they can accept drinks chillier. Iced coffees are a no-no to them, it is only a waste. And run fast if you sour their presence with an iced americano. You may survive, but you’ll wish you hadn’t.

Acceptable cold drinks include cold teas such as milk teas, fruity teas, plain black tea … various alcoholic beverages (looking at you, eggnog), ades, fruit juices, seltzers, and surprisingly soft drinks. Soft drinks they seldom have but it is acceptable at the end of the day, they’ve found themself appreciative of a Fanta before. Nothing, however, compares to drinks with or composed of pandan, served cold and refreshing.
